Editorial standards
This page explains how Summit Leads writes the guides on this site, where the information comes from, and how to tell us when something is wrong.
Purpose
Our guides are written to educate lead buyers and lead sellers: aggregators, buying desks, lead-generation companies and publishers. They explain how lead delivery, pricing factors, consent and quality work, so readers can make their own decisions. Where a page describes how Summit Leads operates, it says so plainly.
Sources
We prefer primary sources: statutes, regulations, court decisions and government data. Where a public source supports a statement on a page, the page shows a "Sources" list at the bottom that links to it. Statements drawn from our own experience of running a lead brokerage are written as such and are not presented as research findings.
Figures and ranges
Some guide pages give industry ranges, for example what a type of lead may be worth in the wider market. These ranges are general estimates for education. They are not quotes, not prices offered by Summit Leads, and not guarantees of what any buyer or seller will pay or receive. Actual terms depend on vertical, geography, lead quality, volume and delivery requirements, and are set per partner.
Legal and compliance content
Pages on consent, calling rules and related topics describe the law and cite the statute, regulation or decision they rely on. They are not legal advice, and readers should speak with their own counsel about their situation. Legal content is reviewed when the rules change. For example, when a federal appeals court vacated the FCC one-to-one consent rule in 2025, pages that described that rule were revised to reflect the decision. Our TCPA compliance guide is the main hub for this material.
How pages are kept current
Guides are revisited when something they describe changes: a new rule or court decision, a change in how lead delivery commonly works, or a change in how Summit Leads operates. When a change affects the meaning of a page, we update the text rather than add a note at the end, so readers see the current position first. Sources lists are checked at the same time, and links that no longer work are replaced or removed.
Corrections
If you find an error, an outdated statement or a broken source link, email team@summitleads.ai with the page address and what you believe is wrong. We check each report and correct the page when the report is accurate.
What we do not publish
- Pricing. We do not publish prices, and terms are set per partner.
- The names of buyers, suppliers or other partners.
Independence
We do not accept paid placements. No company pays to be mentioned, ranked or recommended in our guides, and our guides do not name buyers, suppliers or software vendors.
