Sell leads

Sell insurance leads you generate

To sell insurance leads, you capture quote requests on your own forms with clear consent, then send each lead to buyers in real time, directly or through a broker that routes it by ping/post. Insurance lead buyers pay for leads that match their lines and states, arrive fast, and carry a consent record they can check.

Summit Leads is now onboarding buyers and suppliers for auto and home insurance leads. Email us with the lines, states and daily volume you want.

Summit Leads is now onboarding buyers and suppliers for life insurance, final expense, IUL and mortgage protection leads. Email us with the lines, states and daily volume you want.

This page is for lead generators who run their own insurance quote forms: comparison sites, single-line quote sites and publishers with their own traffic. Summit currently works with web leads (form fills). It does not buy or sell calls or live transfers.

Guides for insurance lead sellers

What insurance lead buyers look for

Insurance lead buyers are agencies, independent and captive agents, brokers, carrier sales teams and lead buying desks. They judge a supplied lead on what it lets them do: quote quickly and reach a person who is still shopping.

What buyers check in a supplied insurance lead
What they checkWhy it matters to the buyer
The line of insurance and the qualifying answersA buyer can only quote lines and profiles its carriers write.
Time from form to deliveryShoppers often ask several sites for quotes in one session. The first call has the best chance.
Valid contact dataDisconnected numbers and fake emails are usually returned.
A consent record for every leadThe buyer needs to show what the consumer agreed to before it calls or texts.
No duplicatesA consumer sent twice in a short window costs the buyer twice for one person.
A known sourceBuyers track results by source and stop sources that do not convert.

Each line adds its own checks. Auto buyers look at vehicles, drivers and current insurance. Home buyers look at the property and the purchase or renewal date. Life and final expense buyers look at age range and the coverage the person asked about. The line pages below cover each one.

Insurance leads are bought to be called and texted, so the consent on your form decides whether a lead can be used. Show consent language next to the submit button that names who may contact the consumer and how. Store a consent certificate for each lead: the language shown, the timestamp, the IP address and the page URL.

State rules also apply. Several states have their own telemarketing laws, and state insurance rules on solicitation differ. See consent and documentation for insurance leads and TCPA compliance for insurance leads.

Sell insurance leads through a broker

A broker sits between lead generators and buyers. You send your leads to the broker. The broker offers each lead to the buyers whose filters it matches and sends it to the buyer that wins. You deal with one integration and one set of terms instead of one per buyer.

  1. Your form captures the lead

The consumer requests a quote and agrees to the consent language on your form.

  2. You post the lead

Your system sends the lead to the broker in real time, with the consent certificate reference.

  3. The broker pings buyers

A partial record without contact details is offered to the buyers whose filters match. See how ping/post works.

  4. The winning buyer receives the lead

The full lead goes to the buyer that won. Leads no buyer accepts are not sold.

  5. Returns and payment

Returns and payment follow the terms agreed during onboarding.

How to find leads to sell insurance?

This question usually comes from agents looking for prospects, not from lead generators. If you are an agent who wants leads to sell policies to, see insurance leads for agents and how to get insurance leads.

If you generate leads to sell, they come from your own quote forms and the traffic you send to them: search ads, social ads, content sites and comparison pages you run. Every lead you sell must be one you captured with consent on your own form.

Frequently asked questions

Agencies, independent and captive agents, brokers, carrier sales teams and lead buying desks. Each buys the lines and states it can write or resell.
