Home Improvement Affiliate Program

HVAC affiliate program for home services publishers

The Summit HVAC affiliate program is the heating and cooling offer in the home improvement affiliate program, for publishers who send homeowner traffic from Meta, Google, native ad networks or SEO sites. The HVAC offer is not open yet. Summit is accepting interest from publishers now, and the offer will work like the other home improvement offers when it opens.

Now onboardingHVAC offers for publishers are now onboarding. Summit is accepting interest from publishers for when the offers open.

HVAC leads are homeowners asking for a heating or cooling system to be installed, replaced or repaired. This page covers who those homeowners are, what HVAC buyers look at, which traffic sources fit, the ad rules to follow and how payouts work in the program.

What you get

  • Landers built and maintained by Summit for MVA and home improvement intent
  • TCPA consent language and consent certificates on every lead
  • Real-time ping/post routing to 40+ national buyer and supply partners

  • Ad creative that follows the traffic guidelines
  • Traffic sent through your tracking link, with consent language on the lander left as it is

Who HVAC leads are

An HVAC lead is a homeowner who wants a heating, ventilation or air conditioning company to look at a system and quote the work. The request usually comes from one of three situations: a system that has stopped working, a system that is old and expensive to run, or a home that needs cooling or heating it does not have.

A homeowner whose air conditioner failed in a heat wave wants someone today and fills out a short form quickly. A homeowner planning to replace a 20-year-old furnace before winter is comparing quotes. Both can be good leads, but they respond to different messages: treat them as two audiences in one offer.

HVAC sits next to the other home improvement offers in the program, such as window replacement offers, which also attract homeowners thinking about energy costs. Keep each offer on its own tracking link so results stay separate.

What HVAC buyers look at

Leads in the program are offered to buyers by ping/post, and buyers bid on leads that match their filters and the ZIP codes they serve. HVAC buyers tend to look at:

  • The person owns the home. A new system is a large purchase that renters usually cannot approve.
  • A clear project. Install, replace or repair, and whether it is heating or cooling.
  • A location the buyer serves. HVAC is local work with tight service areas.
  • A timeline. A broken system or a planned replacement this season is easier to schedule than a project next year.
  • Accurate contact details. The company has to reach the homeowner to book a visit.

The qualifying criteria for HVAC leads will be confirmed with each publisher during onboarding, once the offer opens. The list above describes what the market looks at, not a promise that any lead will sell.

Which traffic sources fit HVAC offers

The home improvement program accepts four traffic sources: Meta, Google, native ad networks, and SEO and rank-and-rent sites. Each reaches HVAC homeowners at a different point:

How each accepted traffic source fits HVAC offers
SourceHow it reaches HVAC homeownersHow to approach it
GoogleCatches homeowners searching for repair or a new system, often with a problem they need fixed now.Repair and replacement keywords with local intent; add negatives for jobs, parts and DIY. See home improvement traffic on Google Ads.
MetaReaches homeowners before they search, which suits the planned replacement audience.Copy that names the signs of an old system and asks the reader to request a quote. See home improvement traffic on Meta.
NativeReaches readers on content sites who are not shopping yet.An advertorial on when to repair or replace a system, then the lander. See native ads for home improvement offers.
SEO sitesLocal heating and cooling pages bring in homeowners comparing companies in one city. One site per market, built around repair and replacement questions. See rank-and-rent for home improvement leads.

HVAC demand moves with the season: cooling in hot months, heating in cold ones. Watch results by state and by sub ID, and shift messages as the weather turns. The geo-targeting by state guide covers how to split and compare states.

Angles to test for HVAC traffic

Test one angle at a time, each on its own sub ID, so you can see which one changed your sold rate.

  • System not working. "AC not cooling? Get a local company to look at it." Reaches the most urgent homeowners.
  • System age. Copy that lists the signs of an old furnace or air conditioner and asks when it was last replaced.
  • Repair or replace. Many homeowners do not know which they need. An angle that offers a company’s opinion on both is honest and qualifies the reader.
  • Season change. Heating check-ups before winter, cooling before summer.
  • Selling the house. Homeowners preparing to sell often deal with old systems before an inspection.

Compliance notes for HVAC traffic

Follow your platform’s policies and our traffic guidelines. In general terms:

  • Do not promise a price, a free system or a rebate. Rebates and tax credits depend on the program, the equipment and the homeowner. Leave them to the company that quotes the job.
  • Do not claim to be a utility, a government program or the manufacturer. The ad comes from you.
  • Do not invent urgency. "Last chance" offers and fake heat or cold warnings get rejected.
  • Do not change or remove the consent language on a Summit lander.

The ad claims to avoid in home improvement offers guide lists more, and TCPA basics for lead gen affiliates covers consent.

How payouts work in the HVAC affiliate program

The HVAC offer is not open yet, so no HVAC traffic is paid today. When it opens, it will use the home improvement program’s payout rules below.

  • Rev share on sold leads. You receive a share of each sale.
  • Unsold leads are not paid. No buyer purchase means no payout on that lead.
  • Returns are deducted under the return terms agreed during onboarding.
  • Payment terms are agreed during onboarding.
  • Leads are reported by tracking link.

Frequently asked questions

Is the HVAC affiliate program open to publishers now?

Not yet. HVAC offers are now onboarding. Summit is accepting interest from publishers for when the offers open.

Which traffic sources are accepted for HVAC offers?

The same four as the rest of the home improvement program: Meta, Google, native ad networks, and SEO and rank-and-rent sites.

Can I run HVAC and window traffic together?

Yes, but keep each offer on its own tracking link or sub ID. Both attract homeowners thinking about energy costs, yet the leads go to different buyers.

Do I need my own HVAC lander?

Home improvement offers send traffic to Summit landers through your tracking link, and Summit builds and maintains each lander and its consent capture. When the HVAC offer opens, it works the same way.
