Become a lead buying partner: onboarding from first call to scale

How do you become a lead buying partner with Summit Leads?

Email team@summitleads.ai with the verticals, states and caps you buy. We set up a call to go through your filters and discuss rates, check for an active supplier in your verticals and states, agree terms and returns during onboarding, then run a small test by real-time ping/post before you scale.

What does a new buying partner need ready?

Your verticals and sub-types, states or ZIP codes, project or case types, daily caps, a ping/post endpoint with its field specification, the return reasons you work with and an integration contact. There is no setup fee and no monthly fee.

How supply partnerships work

From filters to delivery, step by step

1

Call and filters

A call to go through your verticals, states or ZIP codes, project or case types and daily caps. Rates are discussed on the call.

2

Supply check and terms

Summit checks for an active supplierSupplierAny company that provides leads to a buyer, whether it generates them itself or brokers them from publishers. Glossary in your verticals and states, and terms and returns are agreed during onboarding.

3

Small test

Test leads first, then a small live test by real-time ping/post to your endpoint, matched to your filters.

4

Scale

Raise caps and add states or verticals once the test runs the way you need, each with its own filters.

What to have ready before the onboarding call

A partnership starts with a short brief. The more of it you can send in the first email, the more of the call goes on filters and terms rather than fact-finding:

  • Verticals and sub-types: for example roofing repair only, or car and rideshare accidents but not trucks.
  • Geography: the states you buy in, and any ZIP codes you include or exclude within them.
  • Project or case types: the job types or case criteria you accept in each vertical.
  • Daily caps: per vertical and, where it matters, per state.
  • Your ping/post endpoint: with your field specification and the values you accept for each field.
  • Return reasons: the reasons you work with today, so they can be written into the terms.
  • An integration contact: the person who will receive test leads and confirm the field mapping.

To see the fields a lead carries before you write your spec, open a sample lead for your vertical.

Call
We go through your filters, caps and delivery, and discuss rates. There is no setup fee and no monthly fee.
Supply check
Summit checks for an active supplier in your verticals and states before a test is booked.
Terms and returns
Return reasons, the return process and payment terms are agreed during onboarding. See how lead returns work.
Configuration
Filters and caps are set on our side, per campaign, from the details you send.
Testing
Test leads go to your endpoint so both sides can check field mapping and filter logic. See how the ping/post integration works.
Small test
Once test leads have passed, a small live test runs in the agreed vertical and states. Go-live timing is confirmed during onboarding.
Scaling
Caps, states and verticals are added as your operation grows, each with its own filters.

What the small test looks like

Test leads are flagged as tests and sent to your endpoint first, so both sides can check field mapping and filter logic before live leads flow.

The small live test runs in one vertical and the states agreed on the call, at a cap you set, by real-time ping/post. Leads are exclusive by default; shared delivery is used only where you asked for it.

During the test, check that every lead you accept matches your filters, that contact details reach the consumer, and that the consent record is there for any lead you ask about.

Anything that does not match is raised under the return terms agreed in onboarding, and filters are adjusted before volume grows.

Scaling after the test

  • Raise caps in the vertical and states that tested well.
  • Add states, each confirmed against active supply before it goes live.
  • Add a vertical, with its own filters, caps and test, through the same ping/post integration.

If you are weighing exclusive against shared delivery as you scale, see exclusive vs shared leads.

How delivery differs by vertical

Every vertical is delivered by real-time ping/post by default, and every lead is exclusive by default, with shared delivery on request. What changes between verticals is what the ping carries. A home improvement ping carries the trade, the project type, homeownership, the ZIP code and the timeframe. An MVA ping carries the accident type, injury and fault answers, the accident date and the state. In both cases contact details and the consent record arrive in the post, after you accept.

For the mechanics step by step, see ping post explained.

Filters partners set most often

Home improvement
trade and project type, homeowner only, residential or commercial, states or ZIP codes, timeframe and daily caps.
MVA
sub-type (car, motorcycle, commercial vehicle or rideshare), states, injury and treatment, fault, accident date window, no attorney retained and daily caps.

Planning caps through the year

Exterior home improvement trades such as roofing and siding follow the weather, with bursts after storms, so partners in those trades often raise caps for storm-hit regions. Interior trades such as flooring and bathrooms run steadily through the year. MVA has no season; the constraint there is how many leads your intake team can call while they are fresh. Set caps to match.

Verticals open to buying partners

Summit Leads works in MVA, roofing, bathroom, windows, gutters, siding, flooring, HVAC and solar. Insurance leads (auto, home, life and final expense) have not launched; Summit is collecting interest only. Our team has 7 years of combined experience in lead generation, and we work both sides of the market: we buy from lead generators and publishers and supply aggregators, brokers and buying desks.

Home improvement lead supply
Home improvement leads across roofing (storm damage, replacement, repair), bathroom renovation (walk-in tubs, accessibility, remodels), flooring (hardwood, tile, carpet, LVP), siding and gutters, and windows. Each buyer chooses the states or ZIP codes it buys in, and Summit checks for active supply there before a test.
MVA / personal injury lead supply
MVA leads across car, motorcycle, commercial vehicle and rideshare accidents, held to a selective bar: documented injury, clear or favorable liability, early contact and accurate contact details.

Buying partner questions

What do we need to send to become a buying partner?

The verticals and sub-types you buy, the states or ZIP codes, your filters, daily caps, delivery method and endpoint, and the return reasons you work with. Email them to team@summitleads.ai and we set up a call.

Is there a test before live volume?

Yes. Your endpoint and filters are tested with test leads first. Go-live timing is confirmed during onboarding, once the test leads have passed.

How are rates and terms agreed with a new buying partner?

Rates are discussed on the onboarding call rather than published. There is no setup fee and no monthly fee: you pay only for leads delivered that match your filters. Return and payment terms are agreed during onboarding.

Can we start with one vertical and add others later?

Yes. Most partners start with one vertical and a few states, then add verticals, states or caps once delivery is running. Each addition gets its own filters and caps.

What happens on the first onboarding call?

We go through the verticals and sub-types you buy, your states or ZIP codes, the project or case types you take, daily caps, your ping/post endpoint and who handles the integration on your side. Rates are discussed on the call, and we confirm whether exclusive delivery (the default) or shared delivery fits each campaign.

What if Summit has no active supplier in our states yet?

Summit checks for an active supplier in your verticals and states before a test. If a state is still being set up, we tell you that on the call and offer a start date only once supply there is confirmed, rather than starting a test that cannot fill.

How do returns work for a buying partner?

The return reasons you accept, how returns are submitted and how disputed ones are settled are agreed during onboarding, before live volume. Every lead carries a TCPA consent record, so a consent question on a single lead can be answered from that record.

Ready to become a buying partner?

Tell us your verticals, caps, and filters. We'll check active supply for your verticals and states and confirm a start date.
