Rideshare involvement

A rideshare vehicle was part of the crash, whether the claimant was a passenger, another driver or a pedestrian.

Documented injury

Medical treatment, an ER visit or ongoing care. Property-damage-only claims do not qualify.

Real-time ping/post

Leads reach your endpoint the moment they qualify against your filters.

TCPA consent captured

Opt-in language, timestamp, IP address and page URL recorded at submission.

Rideshare accident leads are not car accident leads with a new label

A rideshare crash can look like any other car accident from the outside, but the case underneath is different. Coverage depends on what the driver was doing in the app, liability can reach beyond the driver, and the claimant might be a passenger, another motorist or a pedestrian. Injury firms that take these cases often handle them as their own practice area.

Summit Leads delivers rideshare leads separated from general car accident volume, with the facts an intake team asks about first. If you also buy car, motorcycle or commercial vehicle leads, the personal injury leads overview covers every sub-type we supply.

Filters you can set

Filters and caps are configured on our side, per campaign, from the details you send.

  • Sub-type: rideshare leads on their own, or alongside car, motorcycle and commercial vehicle / truck accident leads
  • Other criteria your clients set
  • States or ZIP codes you buy in
  • Daily caps per campaign
  • Hourly or day-of-week delivery limits

You can ask for a cap or filter change by email at any time.

App status and insurance coverage, in general terms

Rideshare insurance is usually described in periods tied to the driver's app status at the moment of the crash. Exact rules and limits vary by state and by company, so treat the outline below as orientation for routing, not legal advice.

App off

The driver was not logged in to the rideshare app. In general, the driver's personal auto policy is the main coverage in play, as in an ordinary car accident.

App on, waiting for a request

The driver was logged in and available but had not accepted a trip. Some rideshare coverage generally applies in this period, usually more limited than during a trip.

Trip accepted or passenger on board

The driver was on the way to a pickup or carrying a passenger. This is generally the period with the highest coverage available under the rideshare company's policy.

Liability questions add another layer. The rideshare driver may be at fault, a third-party driver may have caused the crash while the rideshare was on a trip, or a pedestrian or cyclist may have been struck. Each pattern points to different parties and coverage, so buyers want app status on the lead from the start.

What every rideshare lead is checked for

Filtering happens twice. First, every lead clears our quality bar before it is offered to anyone:

  • Rideshare involvement: a rideshare vehicle was involved in the crash.

  • App status context: whether the driver was offline, waiting for a request, en route to a pickup or carrying a passenger, where the claimant knows it.

  • Documented injury: medical treatment, an ER visit or ongoing care.

  • Liability: clear or favorable fault indicators for the injured party.

  • Representation: claimants who already have an attorney are screened out.

  • Consent and contact data: accurate contact details and TCPA consent captured at submission.

Second, your own filters decide what reaches your endpoint: the states or ZIP codes you buy in, the other criteria your clients set, and daily caps. A direct post option lets you set a fixed price for matching leads instead of bidding.

For the mechanics, see how the ping/post integration works or read ping post explained. Consent rules for injury leads are covered in TCPA compliance for MVA leads.

Frequently asked questions

Can we buy rideshare accident leads on their own?

Yes. Rideshare accident leads can be bought as their own sub-type or alongside car, motorcycle and commercial vehicle / truck accident leads, with separate filters and daily caps for each campaign.

Who counts as a rideshare accident claimant?

Anyone injured in a crash involving a rideshare vehicle: a passenger in the rideshare, the driver or passenger of another vehicle, or a pedestrian or cyclist. The lead still has to meet our quality bar for documented injury, liability, representation, contact data and consent.

Why does app status matter for rideshare accident leads?

Rideshare coverage generally depends on what the driver was doing in the app at the time of the crash: offline, logged in and waiting for a request, or on the way to a pickup or carrying a passenger. Each period can bring different insurance into the case, so intake teams want app status as early as possible.

What if the claimant does not know the app status?

Claimants who were passengers usually know, because they were on a trip. Other drivers and pedestrians often do not. An unknown app status does not remove a lead, but it is noted so the intake team can confirm it during case review.

How are rideshare accident leads delivered?

By real-time ping/post. A ping with partial, non-identifying data goes out, your system bids, and the winning bid receives the full lead by post. A direct post option at a fixed price for matching leads is available, and so is batch delivery if your systems require it.

How is pricing set?

Terms, caps and pricing are set per partner based on geography, criteria and delivery method. We do not publish prices and discuss terms during onboarding.

How fast can we start receiving rideshare accident leads?

Most partners go live within 24-72 hours after setup. New buyers usually start with a small test volume to check quality before scaling.
