Roofing buyers, and the developers who connect their systems, usually want to see the record itself before they agree to a test. Every field on Summit’s roofing leads is listed below, grouped by what it is used for. Formats and required fields come in the specification shared during onboarding; this page shows names, meanings and invented values only.
Fields on a sample roofing lead
Roofing has more consent fields than the bathroom and window lists: besides the opt-in text and the certificate links, its list includes TCPATCPAThe Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the federal law that governs telemarketing calls and texts, autodialers, prerecorded voice messages and the Do Not Call Registry. Glossary, session_length and test. For the qualifier fields, the Example column gives examples of values, meaning the answers seen most often on the form, not every option the form offers.

Roofing qualifier fields
Six answers describe the job and the person asking: whether they own the property, when they want to start, which roofing material is involved, whether the work is an install, a replacement or a repair, what type of property the roof is on, and their own estimate of their credit.
| Field | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
own_property | Whether the consumer owns the property. Buyers that work with homeowners only filter on it. | Examples of values: Yes, No |
purchase_time_frame | When the consumer plans to start the project. | Examples of values: Immediately, Within 1 months, 1-3 months |
roofing_type | The roofing material the project involves. | Examples of values: Asphalt, Metal, Tile, Cedar shake, Natural slate, Tar |
project_type | Whether the job is a new install, a replacement or a repair. | Examples of values: Install, Replace, Repair |
credit_rating | The consumer’s own estimate of their credit. | Examples of values: Excellent, Good, Fair |

jornaya_leadid | The Jornaya LeadiD for the form session, an ID a buyer can use to look up Jornaya’s record of the submission. | EXAMPLE-LEADID |
session_length | How long the form session lasted before the consumer submitted. The unit is set in the field specification shared during onboarding. | SESSION_LENGTH |
TCPA | The consent field recorded with the submission. The wording itself is in tcpa_text. | CONSENT_VALUE |
test | Marks a test record. Test leads are sent while a buyer’s endpoint is connected and checked, before live traffic. | TEST_FLAG |
Three of those fields are only on the roofing list. TCPA is the consent field recorded with the submission; the wording itself is in tcpa_text. session_length is how long the form session lasted before the consumer submitted, in a unit set in the field specification. test marks a test record: test leads are sent while a buyer’s endpointEndpointThe web address in a buyer's system that receives pings and posts. Glossary is connected and checked, before live traffic.
One roofing lead, filled in
Here is a complete roofing record for one invented homeowner. Entries in capitals, such as PROPERTY_TYPE, CONSENT_VALUE, TEST_FLAG and SESSION_LENGTH, are placeholders: their formats are fixed in the field specification, so the sample does not guess at them.

}Fields roofing buyers filter on
Filters are set on our side for each campaign, from the details you send, and you can ask for a change by email at any time. Roofing campaigns usually start from these fields:
- state and zip_code: the area your crews, or your clients’ crews, cover. Storm history, housing age and contract rules differ from state to state, and each state page covers them, for example Texas roofing leads. Every state is linked from roofing leads by state.
- own_property: homeowner status. A new roof is the owner’s decision, so many roofing buyers take homeowners only.
- purchase_time_frame: how soon the consumer wants the work done. Examples of values are Immediately and 1-3 months.
- project_type: examples of values are Install, Replace and Repair. A crew that only replaces roofs, or only repairs them, sets this first.
- property_type: residential or commercial, for buyers whose clients work on only one of the two.
Material is handled differently. The ping carries the qualifier answers, so a buyer’s system can also bid or decline on roofing_type, the roofing material, for example to send metal or tile jobs to a crew that installs them. Examples of values include Asphalt, Metal, Tile and Cedar shake.
Roofing lead types, the full filterFilterA rule that decides which leads a buyer is offered, based on fields such as vertical, sub-type, state, ZIP code, homeownership or accident details. Glossary list and onboarding steps are on the national page, roofing leads.
TrustedForm and Jornaya fields on a roofing lead
A roofing lead’s consent record is spread over several fields: tcpa_text holds the opt-in languageOpt-in languageThe consent disclosure shown next to the submit button on a lead form. Glossary, ip_address and user_agent describe the device that submitted the form, and landing_page_url is the page it was submitted on. Two more fields connect the lead to records kept by third-party services.
trustedform_cert_url
TrustedForm records a form session and issues a certificate for it. trustedform_cert_url is the link to that certificate, which a buyer can open and keep with the lead, so the buyer holds its own copy of the session record.
jornaya_leadid
Jornaya is a separate service that also records form sessions. jornaya_leadid is the LeadiD for the session, an ID a buyer can use to look up Jornaya’s record of the submission. The roofing field list includes both fields, so a buyer that already checks leads with either service can check roofing leads the same way.
The rules these records relate to are covered in TCPA compliance for home service leads, one-to-one consent and record keeping for TCPA consent.
This page is general information, not legal advice. Your own counsel can tell you whether a consent record supports the calls and texts your team, or your clients, plan to make.
Getting roofing leads into your system
The ping carries the qualifier answers with the state and ZIP code. The name, phone, email and street address arrive only in the post, after your bid wins. Message formats, the response window and test traffic are explained on the ping/post integration page. Most MVA and home improvement partners go live within 24-72 hours after setup.
Roofing leads are exclusive by default, with shared delivery on request, in all U.S. states. Companies that run roofing crews in several markets can read roofing contractors.
Frequently asked questions
What does the test field on a sample roofing lead mean?
It marks a test record. Test leads are sent while a buyer’s endpoint is connected and checked, before live traffic starts.
Which roofing materials appear in the roofing_type field?
Examples of values include Asphalt, Metal, Tile, Cedar shake, Natural slate and Tar. They are the answers seen most often, not every option; the field specification shared during onboarding sets the format.
Why does a roofing lead have both a TCPA field and a tcpa_text field?
tcpa_text holds the opt-in wording the consumer saw next to the submit button. TCPA is the consent field recorded with the submission. Both belong to the consent record, so keep both with the lead.
Can roofing leads be limited to residential properties?
Yes. Residential or commercial property is one of the roofing filters, and each lead carries a property_type field for the type of property the roof is on.
Is credit_rating on a roofing lead the result of a credit check?
No. It is the consumer’s own estimate of their credit, chosen on the form. Examples of values are Excellent, Good and Fair.
