Pest control companies, termite specialists and buying desks can use it to see what comes with each pest request before contacting Summit. Pest control leads use Summit’s standard home services fields, shown below. The onboarding specification lists the exact field names, formats, and which fields are required or optional.
Fields on a sample pest control lead
The tables group fields by how a buyer uses them. When a value is the homeowner’s answer to a question on the pest control form, the "Example" column marks where that answer goes rather than making one up.
Contact fields
| Field | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
first_name | The consumer’s first name, as entered on the form. | Jordan |
last_name | The consumer’s last name. | Example |
email | The consumer’s email address. | jordan.example@example.com |
phone | The consumer’s phone number. | 555-0142 |
Location fields
Technicians and inspectors work on routes, so the street address comes with the city, state and ZIP code. Most pest control buyers use the ZIP code to match a request to an existing route.
| Field | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
address | Street address of the home where the pest problem is. | 123 Example Street |
city | City. | Las Vegas |
state | Two-letter state code. Buyers filter on it. | NV |
zip_code | Five-digit ZIP code. Buyers set coverage down to the ZIP code. | 89101 |
Qualifier fields
The same four qualifier fields as Summit’s other home services leads. Project type is described only broadly, such as general pests, rodents or termites, because the pest control options are confirmed during onboarding.
| Field | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
own_property | Whether the consumer owns the property. Buyers that work with homeowners only filter on it. | Yes or No |
purchase_time_frame | When the consumer plans to start the project. | The consumer’s answer on the form |
project_type | The kind of pest control service the consumer asked about, described in general terms. The exact options are confirmed during onboarding. | The consumer’s answer on the form |
credit_rating | The consumer’s own estimate of their credit. | The consumer’s answer on the form |
Consent record fields
| Field | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
ip_address | IP address of the device that submitted the form. Part of the consent record. | 192.0.2.44 |
user_agent | The browser and device description sent by the device that submitted the form. | Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 17_5 like Mac OS X) |
landing_page_url | Address of the page where the form was submitted. Part of the consent record. | https://www.example.com/request |
tcpa_text | The opt-in language the consumer saw next to the submit button. Part of the consent record. | OPT_IN_TEXT_SHOWN_TO_CONSUMER |
trustedform_cert_url | Link to the TrustedForm certificate for the form session, a third-party record of the submission that a buyer can open and keep. | https://cert.trustedform.com/EXAMPLE |
jornaya_leadid | The Jornaya LeadiD for the form session, an ID a buyer can use to look up Jornaya’s record of the submission. | EXAMPLE-LEADID |

Here every field is filled in for a fictional homeowner. Except for homeownership, the answers show FORM_ANSWER, the opt-in text is a placeholder, and the TrustedForm link is an EXAMPLE address with no real certificate.

}Fields pest control buyers filter on
Pest control leads use the same filters as Summit’s other home services leads. These are the fields those filters read:
- state and zip_code: the states where your company is licensed, narrowed to the ZIP codes on or near your routes.
- own_property: owners only, since renters often need the landlord to arrange treatment.
- purchase_time_frame: homeowners with an active problem now, or planned inspections as well.
- project_type: the kind of pest service in broad terms, so a buyer can leave out work it does not do.
Filters are set per campaign, down to the ZIP code. Delivery, routing and setup are covered on the buyer page, pest control leads, and pest control lead generation explains where homeowner pest requests come from. Pest control has no state pages; state guides for other verticals are under leads by state.
The consent record on a pest control lead
TCPATCPAThe Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the federal law that governs telemarketing calls and texts, autodialers, prerecorded voice messages and the Do Not Call Registry. Glossary consent is captured on every lead, with consent certificates. A Summit home services lead carries six consent fields: tcpa_text keeps the consent wording displayed next to the submit button, ip_address and user_agent describe the device, landing_page_url records the page, and the last two point to outside records of the session.
Those last two are trustedform_cert_url, which links to a TrustedForm certificate a buyer can open and keep with the lead, and jornaya_leadid, the ID of Jornaya’s record of the same submission. TCPA compliance for home service leads and express written consent explain the rules behind these records.
This is general information, not legal advice. Whether a consent record covers the way your office calls or texts homeowners about pest control is a question for your own counsel.
Other sample leads
The same standard fields appear on the sample plumbing lead, the sample HVAC lead and the sample window replacement lead. The sample leads hub explains what every lead has in common.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no pest type or infestation size field on the sample pest control lead?
Because pest control leads carry Summit’s standard home services fields, the same set roofing, bathroom and window leads use, so the sample adds no pest-specific fields. The full field specification is shared during onboarding.
What does the project type field hold on a pest control lead?
The answer the homeowner chose when asked about the problem, in broad terms such as general pests, rodents or termites. The option list is confirmed during onboarding, so the example shows FORM_ANSWER there.
Why does a pest control lead carry the full street address?
Because technicians and inspectors visit the home. Address, city, state and ZIP code are standard home services fields, so an office can check the home against its routes before it calls.
Is the sample pest control lead based on a real homeowner?
No. Every value is invented: a placeholder name (Jordan Example), a 555-01xx phone number set aside for examples, an example.com email and an IP address from the 192.0.2.x documentation range.
