Sample HVAC lead: the home services fields, explained

This sample HVAC lead shows the fields an HVAC buyer would see: contact details, street address, state and ZIP code, homeownership, timeframe, project type and credit answers, and the consent record, with one full example lead in invented values. HVAC is now onboarding; these are the standard fields until its own list is set.

Now onboardingHVAC is being added to Summit Leads and is not live yet. Summit is accepting interest from HVAC lead buyers now: email us the states, filters and delivery method you want, and we will contact you when HVAC leads open.

This page is for HVAC contractors, multi-trade home services companies and buying desks that want to see the shape of an HVAC lead before they talk to Summit. HVAC is not live yet and its field list is still being set up; when HVAC opens, HVAC leads use Summit’s standard home services fields, shown below. The exact field specification (field names, formats, required and optional fields) is shared during onboarding.

HVAC lead fields

The fields are grouped by what a buyer uses them for. Where a field’s values depend on the HVAC form, the "Example" column shows where the consumer’s answer goes rather than a value.

Fields HVAC buyers filter on

When HVAC opens, HVAC leads will use the same filters as Summit’s other home services leads. These five fields carry them:

  • state and zip_code: the states, or the ZIP codes inside them, where your technicians work.
  • own_property: homeowners only, since owners approve a new system.
  • purchase_time_frame: requests for work now, or planned projects too.
  • project_type: for example install, replace or repair, for heating or cooling.

Buyers joining the HVAC list can tell us now which filters they would need. The buyer page, HVAC leads, covers delivery and how to start, and HVAC lead generation services explains where HVAC requests come from.

HVAC leads by state

Each state page covers how homes are heated, heating and cooling degree days, HVAC contractor licensing and a county table: Alabama HVAC leads, Alaska HVAC leads, Arizona HVAC leads, Arkansas HVAC leads, California HVAC leads, Colorado HVAC leads, Connecticut HVAC leads, Delaware HVAC leads, Florida HVAC leads, Georgia HVAC leads, Hawaii HVAC leads, Idaho HVAC leads, Illinois HVAC leads, Indiana HVAC leads, Iowa HVAC leads, Kansas HVAC leads, Kentucky HVAC leads, Louisiana HVAC leads, Maine HVAC leads, Maryland HVAC leads, Massachusetts HVAC leads, Michigan HVAC leads, Minnesota HVAC leads, Mississippi HVAC leads, Missouri HVAC leads, Montana HVAC leads, Nebraska HVAC leads, Nevada HVAC leads, New Hampshire HVAC leads, New Jersey HVAC leads, New Mexico HVAC leads, New York HVAC leads, North Carolina HVAC leads, North Dakota HVAC leads, Ohio HVAC leads, Oklahoma HVAC leads, Oregon HVAC leads, Pennsylvania HVAC leads, Rhode Island HVAC leads, South Carolina HVAC leads, South Dakota HVAC leads, Tennessee HVAC leads, Texas HVAC leads, Utah HVAC leads, Vermont HVAC leads, Virginia HVAC leads, Washington HVAC leads, West Virginia HVAC leads, Wisconsin HVAC leads, Wyoming HVAC leads.

TCPATCPAThe Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the federal law that governs telemarketing calls and texts, autodialers, prerecorded voice messages and the Do Not Call Registry. Glossary consent is captured on every lead, with consent certificates. On Summit’s home services leads, the consent record fields are tcpa_text (the opt-in language the homeowner saw), ip_address, user_agent and landing_page_url, plus a TrustedForm field and a Jornaya field.

trustedform_cert_url links to the TrustedForm certificate, a third-party record of the form session that a buyer can open and keep. jornaya_leadid is an ID for Jornaya’s record of the same submission. For the rules behind these records, see TCPA compliance for home service leads and express written consent.

This page is general information, not legal advice. Whether a consent record supports the way you contact a homeowner is a question for your own counsel.

Other sample leads

The same standard fields appear on the sample roofing lead, the sample bathroom remodeling lead and the sample window replacement lead, each with its own trade-specific fields. The sample leads hub explains the four parts of every lead.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the sample HVAC lead have no system type or tonnage field?

Because there is no HVAC field list yet. The page shows only the standard home services fields Summit uses on roofing, bathroom and window leads, and does not invent HVAC-only fields.

Which project types does an HVAC lead cover?

The project type field describes the HVAC job, for example install, replace or repair, for heating or cooling. The exact options are set when the HVAC form is finalized.

Does an HVAC lead include a street address?

Yes. The standard home services fields include the street address, city, state and ZIP code of the home.

Is the sample HVAC lead a real homeowner?

No. Every value is invented: the name Jordan Example, a 555-01xx phone number, an example.com email address and a 192.0.2.x IP address.
