Nevada is an at-fault state. The Division of Insurance consumer guide sets out the bodily injury liability limits Nevada law requires for each person injured and for all persons injured in one accident, and those liability policies pay the claims of people the insured driver injures. There is no personal injury protection scheme standing between the injured person and a claim against the driver who caused the crash.
NRS 11.190(4)(e) gives two years for "an action to recover damages for injuries to a person or for the death of a person caused by the wrongful act or neglect of another." A Nevada lead that arrives many months after the crash leaves a firm a short runway, so buyers set an accident age cap and firms often ask for the date of first treatment alongside the crash date.
Under NRS 41.141(1), the plaintiff's comparative negligence "does not bar a recovery if that negligence was not greater than the negligence or gross negligence of the parties to the action against whom recovery is sought." Damages are then reduced by the plaintiff's share. A claimant who is 50 percent at fault still recovers; one who is 51 percent at fault does not. For a buyer, that puts weight on liability fields: whether the other driver was cited, rear-end versus intersection crashes, and whether a police report exists.

Nevada home improvement leads: 1996 housing, 60 percent owners and a state license
The Census Bureau puts the Nevada owner-occupied housing unit rate at 60.0% for 2020-2024, which leaves about four in ten households renting. Confirming homeowner status before a lead is sold is the first filter on any Nevada roofing, siding and gutters, windows, flooring or bathroom campaign. The median year structure built is 1996 in the ACS 5-year estimates for 2020-2024, so half of Nevada housing units went up in 1996 or later. Nevada licenses contractors at the state level. The Nevada State Contractors Board states that all businesses or individuals who construct or alter any building or other structure in Nevada must be licensed by the Board, with a narrow exemption for minor repair and maintenance work below a value set in the rules. Residential contractors who remodel, repair or improve an owner-occupied single family residence also pay into the Board's Residential Recovery Fund under NRS 624.440. For in-home sales, NRS 598.230 lets the buyer in a door-to-door sale rescind by written notice "no later than midnight of the third business day" after the contract is signed.
