High wind, thunderstorm wind and precipitation in Wyoming
Most Wyoming wind records in 2025 were not tied to thunderstorms. NOAA's Storm Events Database, 2025 details file has 430 Wyoming records with event type High Wind and 164 with event type Thunderstorm Wind. The file keeps the two types apart, so a buyer reading it can see which kind of wind each record describes.
Precipitation is low in absolute terms. NOAA's statewide Climate at a Glance series (2025 data) shows 16.29 inches for Wyoming in 2025 and an average of 16.02 inches a year over 1991 to 2020. The figure is one number for the whole state, and totals in a given county differ from it.
Counting method: a Storm Events record covers one event type in one county or forecast zone, so one storm that crosses several zones adds several records. Only records with a 2025 begin date are counted. The precipitation figure is the 12-month total ending in December.
Detached houses and mobile homes in Wyoming
Two out of three Wyoming homes stand alone on their lot. The Census Bureau's table B25024 (ACS 5-year 2020-2024) counts 67.8% of Wyoming housing units as single-family detached and 11.5% as mobile homes. Attached houses and buildings with two or more units make up the remainder.
Mobile homes are a separate line in that table, and some siding buyers serve them while others do not. A project field for home type lets a buyer accept or exclude them before a lead is delivered.
Half of Wyoming housing units were built in 1981 or earlier: 1981 is the median year built in table B25035 (ACS 5-year 2020-2024). Wyoming law on storm repair of siding and gutters
This section is general information, not legal advice. It summarizes official sources as of October 7, 2026; check the current text of each rule before relying on it.
Siding and gutters are named in a Wyoming statute. Article 7 of chapter 12 in Title 40 (W.S. 40-12-701, 2026 statutes file) defines a contractor as a person in the business of contracting with an owner or possessor of residential real estate to repair or replace roof, siding or gutter systems. It defines exterior storm damage as damage from wind, hail or another weather-related event to the siding system, gutter system, roof system or window and skylight system of a residential building, meaning a dwelling of up to four units and its ancillary buildings, farm and ranch structures included.
Two limits in W.S. 40-12-702(c) (Title 40, 2026 file) deal with money and identity. A contractor soliciting this work may not pay compensation to any person associated with the property unless it is disclosed to the consumer in writing, and may not take payment for letting another contractor use its business name or license number.
The three-day cancellation right in the same article can be given up in one situation. Under W.S. 40-12-705(b) (2026 file), the consumer may waive it if the insurer has given written notice that the claim is approved; the waiver is in writing, signed by the consumer and accompanied by a copy of that notice.

Filters for Wyoming siding and gutter orders
Wyoming orders are usually set with four fields, each tied to a fact above:
- Homeowner status: owners sign exterior contracts, so renter requests are removed at intake.
- Project type: siding or gutters, and repair or full replacement, chosen separately; home type can exclude mobile homes.
- Recent storm damage: whether wind or hail damage prompted the request, the situation the storm repair article covers.
- ZIP code: buyers list the ZIP codes their crews drive to, in town or on ranch roads.
