MVA and home improvement leads in Michigan
Michigan had 10,127,884 residents in the Census Bureau estimate for July 1, 2025, and an owner-occupied housing rate of 73.2 percent. It is a no-fault state that rewrote its auto insurance law in 2019, with a tort threshold for pain and suffering, a three-year deadline and a fault rule aimed at noneconomic damages.
Summit Leads supplies home improvement and MVA leads in all U.S. states, including Michigan. Buyers set filters down to the ZIP code. Leads are exclusive by default: each lead is sold to one buyer. Shared delivery is available if a buyer asks for it.

Michigan is a no-fault state, and the 2019 reform (2019 PA 21 and 2019 PA 22, signed by the Governor on May 30, 2019) changed how that system works. The Department of Insurance and Financial Services states that the changes apply to policies issued or renewed after July 1, 2020. Drivers now choose a level of personal injury protection medical coverage, from coverage with no limit through several capped levels, with an opt-out available when the named insured has Medicare Parts A and B and household members have other coverage for auto accident injuries. DIFS notes that Michigan is the only state that still offers PIP medical coverage with no limit.
A suit against the other driver for pain and suffering has to clear MCL 500.3135(1): a person remains subject to tort liability for noneconomic loss only if the injured person has suffered death, serious impairment of body function, or permanent serious disfigurement. Michigan firms look at injury detail (diagnosis, imaging, how the injury affects daily life and work) as closely as firms in any threshold state.
The PIP choice also reaches tort claims. MCL 500.3135(3)(c) keeps the at-fault driver liable for allowable expenses, work loss and survivor's loss in excess of the applicable PIP limits, or without limit for allowable expenses where the injured person made an election not to maintain PIP medical coverage. A claimant who chose a lower PIP level may have a larger claim against the other driver for medical costs, so the claimant's PIP selection is a useful field on Michigan leads.
Two statutes set the fault line. MCL 500.3135(2)(b) says damages must be assessed on the basis of comparative fault, except that damages must not be assessed in favor of a party who is more than 50% at fault. In tort actions generally, MCL 600.2959 reduces damages by the plaintiff's share and provides that noneconomic damages shall not be awarded if the plaintiff's fault is greater than the aggregate fault of the other persons, whether or not parties to the action. A Michigan claimant more than half at fault loses the claim for pain and suffering.
MCL 600.5805(2) sets 3 years after the time of the death or injury for actions to recover damages for injury to a person. Buyers still set an accident age limit, since a firm needs time to collect medical records and PIP claim history.

Michigan home improvement leads: a 73.2 percent ownership rate
The Census Bureau puts Michigan's owner-occupied housing unit rate at 73.2% for 2020-2024. Nearly three in four Michigan households own their home, so more Michigan requesters can sign for roofing, siding and gutters or window work without a landlord in the way.
Michigan housing is older than in Georgia, North Carolina or Texas. The median year structure built is 1972 in the ACS 5-year estimates for 2020-2024, so half of Michigan's housing units were built in 1972 or earlier. High ownership with housing of that age is a profile many replacement buyers look for. Buyers still filter on homeowner status, project type and the ZIP codes their contractor clients serve.
Michigan licenses residential contractors through the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs once the labor and materials on a job pass a threshold set by the state. A residential builder license covers whole houses and remodeling, and a maintenance and alteration contractor license covers listed trades, among them roofing, siding, gutters, carpentry, insulation and tile and marble. The Home Solicitation Sales Act, MCL 445.112, gives a buyer until midnight of the third business day after signing to cancel a home solicitation sale.
Project types and filters are listed on the home improvement leads and roofing leads pages.
Consent records for Michigan leads
Each lead carries its TCPA consent record (opt-in language, timestamp, IP address and page URL), so the record travels with the lead to your system.
Every Michigan lead carries a federal TCPA consent record: opt-in wording, timestamp, IP address and the URL of the page where the consumer asked to be contacted. Buyers that resell Michigan leads or split them between law firm and contractor clients can forward that record so it stays attached to the lead wherever it goes.
Our guide to state telemarketing laws compares the states that add rules on top of the TCPA.

Michigan lead buying questions
Is Michigan still a no-fault state after the 2019 reform?
Yes. The 2019 reform kept the no-fault system but let drivers choose a PIP medical coverage level for policies issued or renewed after July 1, 2020. PIP medical coverage with no limit remains an option.
When can a Michigan accident victim sue for pain and suffering?
Only if the injured person suffered death, serious impairment of body function, or permanent serious disfigurement, under MCL 500.3135(1).
Can a Michigan claimant sue the other driver for medical costs?
Yes, for allowable expenses, work loss and survivor's loss above the applicable PIP limits, under MCL 500.3135(3)(c). That makes the claimant's PIP level a useful lead field.
What if a Michigan claimant was partly at fault?
Damages are reduced by their share. A claimant more than 50 percent at fault recovers no damages under MCL 500.3135(2)(b), and under MCL 600.2959 noneconomic damages are not awarded when the claimant's fault is greater than that of the others.
How long do Michigan accident victims have to file suit?
Three years after the time of the injury, under MCL 600.5805(2).
Why do replacement buyers like Michigan home improvement leads?
Michigan has a 73.2% owner-occupied rate and a median year structure built of 1972, so many requesters own older homes. Buyers still filter on homeowner status, project type and ZIP code.
