MVA and home improvement leads in South Dakota
The Census Bureau counted 935,094 South Dakota residents in its estimate for July 1, 2025. Injury claims there follow fault, the negligence statute asks whether the claimant's own carelessness was slight, and a personal injury suit has three years. Owners occupy 68.6% of occupied homes, and the median housing unit dates from 1980. Buyers who know these rules can write tighter filters for South Dakota traffic.
Summit Leads supplies home improvement and MVA leads in all U.S. states, including South Dakota. Buyers set filters down to the ZIP code. Leads are exclusive by default: each lead is sold to one buyer. Shared delivery is available if a buyer asks for it.

South Dakota injury claims are aimed at the driver who caused the crash. The Division of Insurance describes bodily injury liability as coverage that protects a policyholder "against a claim which is made by someone who has been injured in an auto accident for which you are liable." It also states that "uninsured motorist coverage is required for all policies," paying the insured, resident family members and occupants for injuries caused by an uninsured motorist or a hit and run driver. For a lead, that means two questions matter early: who was at fault, and whether the other driver had insurance at all.
The negligence rule sits in SDCL 20-9-2. A plaintiff's contributory negligence "does not bar a recovery when the contributory negligence of the plaintiff was slight in comparison with the negligence of the defendant," and damages are then reduced in proportion to the plaintiff's share. The statute sets no percentage, and it directs that the question of whether the plaintiff's negligence was slight be decided without disclosing any percentage of fault by special interrogatory. A claimant who carries more than a slight share of the blame can lose the claim outright, so clean liability facts (a rear-end impact, a citation issued to the other driver, an independent witness) weigh heavily on a South Dakota MVA lead.
Time limits come from SDCL 15-2-14, which lists "an action for personal injury" among the civil actions that "can be commenced only within three years after the cause of action shall have accrued." Buyers usually cap accident age well inside that period so their law firm clients can collect records, talk to the insurer and still file on time.

South Dakota home improvement leads: 1980 housing and in-home sales
Owner-occupied housing units make up 68.6% of occupied units in South Dakota for 2020-2024, and the median year structure built is 1980. A homeowner signs the contract for a roof, siding and gutters, windows, a bathroom renovation or new flooring, so homeowner status is a standard filter, and a housing stock with a 1980 median gives roofing and window buyers a steady base of homes due for replacement.
At the state level, the South Dakota Department of Revenue requires a contractor's excise tax license of "any person entering into a contract for construction services," which it describes as construction, building, installation, repair or remodeling of real property, and says a contractor "must be licensed before starting work in South Dakota." For in-home sales, SDCL 37-24-5.3 makes it a deceptive act for a door to door seller to leave out the written notice that the buyer may cancel before midnight of the third business day after the transaction, or to fail to tell the buyer about that right orally. Contractor clients who close jobs at the kitchen table plan around that three-day window.
Project types and filters are listed on the home improvement leads and roofing leads pages.
Consent records for South Dakota leads
Each lead carries its TCPA consent record (opt-in language, timestamp, IP address and page URL), so the record travels with the lead to your system.
South Dakota leads carry a consent record built to the federal TCPA standard: the opt-in wording the consumer saw, the timestamp, the IP address and the page URL. The record moves with the lead, so a buyer that resells or routes it to a contractor or law firm can hand over proof of consent at the same time.

South Dakota lead buying questions
Is South Dakota a no-fault state?
No. Injury claims go against the driver who is liable for the accident, through that driver's bodily injury liability coverage. The Division of Insurance also states that uninsured motorist coverage is required for all policies.
What happens if a South Dakota claimant was partly at fault?
Under SDCL 20-9-2, contributory negligence does not bar recovery when it was slight in comparison with the defendant's negligence, and damages are reduced in proportion. Negligence that is more than slight can bar the claim.
How long do South Dakota accident victims have to sue?
Three years after the cause of action accrues for an action for personal injury, under SDCL 15-2-14. Buyers keep their accident age limit well inside that period.
Do South Dakota contractors need a state license?
The Department of Revenue requires a contractor's excise tax license for anyone entering into a contract for construction, installation, repair or remodeling of real property, and says contractors must be licensed before starting work.
Can South Dakota homeowners cancel an in-home sale?
Yes. SDCL 37-24-5.3 requires door to door sellers to give written notice that the buyer may cancel before midnight of the third business day after the transaction, and to tell the buyer about that right orally.
Can we buy South Dakota leads by ZIP code?
Yes. Summit Leads supplies home improvement and MVA leads in all U.S. states, including South Dakota, and buyers choose the states or ZIP codes they buy in, along with daily caps and other filters.
